Ordering Process
We want your event to be perfect! To ensure everything goes smoothly with your cake, there is a series of steps that are important, including booking and securing your date, participating in the design process, selecting flavors, making payments, and considering delivery options.
Creating a spectacular cake requires much time and detail (and of course, a lotta love!) In fairness to our clients, we limit the number of cakes we create in any given time period. Please plan well in advance!!! Glorious Cakes' calendar fills quickly, especially during the peak of wedding season. Many clients actually book more than a year ahead!
Tastings
Cake tastings are available for any order with a minimum of 50 servings. A sampling of our most popular delectable cakes and fillings will be served during your tasting to provide you with an idea of the quality and style of our cakes. Tasting sessions are priced at $30, and you may bring up to 4 tasters. Your cake and filling flavor selections should be made at least 30 days prior to your event.

Design Consultation
The Design Consultation is an important part of the ordering process, especially for weddings or other larger celebrations. The consultation can be done by phone, or in person. Color samples; photos of other cakes; a party theme; an event invitation; photos of decor or other details are all useful as a basis of inspiration for creating a centerpiece cake.
Booking and Securing Your Date
For orders with 50+ servings, your date is formally booked after a $100 non-refundable booking deposit and a signed 'Client Cake Contract' are received. The deposit is credited toward the overall price of the cake. Payment of the remaining balance is due 21 days prior to your event.

Forms of Payment
Payment may be made by cash, credit card (Visa, MC, Discover, Apple Pay), or check made payable to Glorious Cakes. Cash is accepted in person only. If a check is returned for NSF, it will be subject to a collection fee.
Delivery and Set-Up
It is strongly recommended that Glorious Cakes provide delivery and set-up for wedding cakes, as well as multi-tier special occasion cakes. Delivery fees are included in your base price, for venues within a 35-mile radius of Glorious Cakes. Further distances are calculated individually, based on overall mileage and location of venue.
For non-tiered cakes, clients may wish to pick them up. Please make prior arrangements to schedule an agreed upon time for pick-up. Cakes will require a level surface for transporting ( a car seat is NOT level!). Please understand, once you pick up your cake, you are responsible for any damages that may occur. (e.g. sneezing on the cake; dog lickings; or cakes sliding into the dashboard!) (real stories!)
